Spending time in the scriptures is most important. But in order for that time to be fruitful, it helps to have some sort of plan/guidance/purpose in mind at the start. Picking random pages can work in certain times, but systematic time spent in prayer over the scriptures seems like it is better approached with a plan.
I'm reading Matthew right now, but a lot of the Theology of the Body (ToB) takes its heart from Ephesians, so I might go there next.
